Chelsea yet again sacks another top club staff after over 30 years at the club; Here is why.
Jason Griffin has been axed by Todd Boehly and he is now the second or third person that Chelsea is sacking from the club now at a close succession.
It’s not quite clear why this move has been made – the pitch is always brilliant, and Griffin has won many awards for the work he and his team do at Cobham, Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow.
The Daily Mail article that reveals this says that Chelsea didn’t respond to questions about why Griffin and his son Reisse who worked as his assistant, were let go.
They follow a host of names from the very biggest (Petr Cech, Marina Granovskaia) all the way down to medical staff and people in the commercial departments who have been replaced under the new regime.
The club apparently have made it clear that they don’t comment on personnel decisions like this – which leaves an uncomfortable air of mystery around the whole thing.
