Graham Potter goes nowhere; Chelsea Board is still backing Graham Potter and refused to sack him.

Potter is still standing very firmly as the head coach of Chelsea without any pressures whatsoever.

This news has led to annoyance among Chelsea fans who are keen to get rid of the coach, but we didn’t expect any different. If they backed him through the worst run of results in the club’s recent history, they’re not going to change their mind on the back of a bad result now.

The problem is the difficult position this puts them in. Are they going to have to do this every time we lose or draw a game? The ratchet of pressure will only grow tighter, and it would take a truly special result against Real Madrid in the Champions League to give Potter some breathing room.

With Julian Nagelsmann now waiting in the wings, the pressure is bigger than ever, and there are big decisions to be made.
