Chelsea have explored many options for a new manager and it seems they will settle for Carlo Ancelotti as Graham Potter permanent replacement.

Ancelotti restored his reputation following his failed spell at Everton by masterminding Real Madrid’s unlikely Champions League triumph last season and prepping another this season too.

The 63-year-old has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer and Chelsea is now the destination to watch out for that he is heading to.

According to ESPN, Ancelotti ticks many of the boxes Boehly and Chelsea are looking for in a new head coach. The Italian’s willingness to work alongside a technical director suits the model in place at Stamford Bridge.

Ancelotti spent two years at Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, during which time he won a Premier League and FA Cup double.

The report added that apart from Ancelotti, Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have already held discussions with Chelsea this week, while the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho are on Chelsea’s radar for the Chelsea job.
