Good News: Things might change soon at Chelsea as Luis Enrique requests immediate Chelsea appointment.
Luis Enrique have deanded an immediate Chelsea appointment and this is the news many Chelsea fans have been waiting for.
As Per Goal.com this evening, The Spaniard had initially wanted an immediate appointment to manage Chelsea but this did not come but Chelsea then went ahead to hire Lampard again and we are all seeing how this is playing out now.
Although he was disappointed with the decision Chelsea had made to appoint Lampard again till season ends he is at home with the clubs decision pending when they wish to have a review.
The decision to appoint a caretaker is a curious one, given that not only Luis Enrique but also Mauricio Pochettino, Julien Nagelsmann and Marcelo Gallardo, the other three favourites for the job, are also unemployed.
It seems like a deliberate move to swing back the other way from the almost instant choice of Graham Potter back in September, with the ownership now wanting to do a very public show of due diligence.
We can understand Enrique’s frustration, given any coach would like the chance to get to work right away, even in bad circumstances like these. But he will have to be patient, for now.
