It’s now closer; Chelsea board holds talks with Bayern over Nagelsmann release clause; The result?
Chelsea could be at the verge of hiring Julian Nagelsmann as their meeting with Bayern Chiefs over his release clause seems to be poitive.
Those two seem like the front runners so far, and a vital part of the equation when it comes to who is chosen will be the cost of employing them. Nagelsmann still has a contract with Bayern Munich after being fired just a month ago, so Chelsea are now investigating what it would cost them to hire him.
Chelsea officials went to Germany late last week to meet Julian Nagelsmann. Since then, senior members of Chelsea's legal team have been in contact with Bayern Munich to see what it takes to get Nagelsmann out of his contract there if they decide to get him.

Simon Phillips is reporting that Chelsea’s legal team met Bayern’s legal team to figure out a compensation package.
Bayern will likely be happy to get Nagelsmann off their books in any case, so we don’t forsee any major issues on that front, but it’s certainly the kind of thing you want to figure out in advance.
