After yet again another humiliating defeat yesterday which is now looking like a normal for Chelsea, Lampard have dropped a hint on some players that this may be the last time we will see them play for Chelsea and these players were the ones who are poised to leave or the ones who have finished contracts with Chelsea.

He pointed out that some of his subs had come on and done well as the Blues pushed forward in the second period, only to be caught out on the counter attack.

“Maybe it’s time to see some of those players [from the start]” he mused.

Chelsea fans have been crying out for a similar move for weeks now, and there are certainly no shortage of signings that they’d like to see more of.
