Man UTD former defender Gary Neville have opened up on what he feels will happen to the Chelsea new manager at Chelsea.

Pochettino has agreed to become the Blues’ next permanent manager.

He will replace Frank Lampard, who is currently in the role temporarily.

Pochettino will begin work at Stamford Bridge on May 28, following Chelsea’s final game of the season.

The former Tottenham boss will, however, take over a team that will not play in any European competition, which might give him enough time to rebuild.

“I always thought if Chelsea brought in Pochettino and refined the squad a little, they could have a very good season next year.

“Pochettino will not take a job if he doesn’t think there’s huge potential there.

“He obviously thinks he can get Chelsea back to the very top of the league,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
