Pochettino is a very big fan of Caicedo but Chelsea needs a better deal hence why they are looking for Dybala.

Paulo Dybala has struggled with injuries in his career, but if it wasn’t for that, I believe he would be spoken about as being up there with the very best in the world. At only 29, he still has time to project some more, and Chelsea, or more importantly Mauricio Pochettino, are interested in signing him.

Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his Here We Go Podcast and he mentions the Dybala links.

As cited below, Romano said: “Mauricio Pochettino is a super big fan of Paulo Dybala but the focus now at Chelsea is on Moises Caicedo, it’s crucial to understand this.”

So Chelsea’s focus remains on Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, but what is the latest with that situation? Romano also had that, as cited below once again. He said: “Chelsea and Brighton will try to find a solution all together for Caicedo, he is Chelsea’s top target, it could be next week.”

It does have a feel of being a deal that will eventually get done, but judging by how it has gone this week, it might not be easy. Chelsea should persist though, because just like Dybala, Caicedo is one special player in my opinion and has a hugely high ceiling.
