Here is why Pochettino said he needs to speak to Mudryk immediately; Something could be wrong.

he day he walks back in to Cobham, he’s already got something on his agenda. Mauricio Pochettino spoke today in quotes picked up by the Daily Mirror about his desire to speak to the winger immediately, to finally get to meet a potentially vital part of his squad in the weeks and months ahead.

Pochettino is famous for his man management and motivation, and he clearly wants to get to know the young winger as soon as possible:

“Everything is different in the life of Mudryk, compared to Enzo [Fernandez]. That is why it’s really important to spend time to talk.

‌“I’m going to meet him before he comes to start the pre-season. I’d really like to see and to know him, and then with the staff, to design the best strategy to help him be at the level that Chelsea, when they signed him, expected him to be.

“These players were arriving in difficult circumstances to join this football club and it’s a great challenge for us because we love to work in this way. But of course, we need to give them the opportunity to show they are able to cope with the pressure to play for Chelsea and perform with the best.”

Mudryk had a tough first few months at Chelsea, in a struggling team and in a new country, with a rapid succession of managers. We want him to have a nice summer break after his games for the national team, but we also want him training with Pochettino as soon as possible to start trying to unlock his potential.s
