James is a doubt to make the US tour squad.

The London Evening Standard says the defender complained about pain in his knee and was sent for a cautionary scan.

Chelsea are expecting positive news regarding the scan but were keen to get a medical evaluation on the 23-year-old’s condition after he complained of feeling pain.
