Andrey Santos reaches important Chelsea milestone and breaks a long standing record; Here is the record
Andrey Santos has celebrated his first Chelsea appearance (in a friemdly) with another milestone – he’s been rubber stamped with a work permit for this season.
The central midfielder was unable to join the Blues immediately after signing in January, and has had to wait until now to finally get down to business. A lot has changed at the club in the time since he signed. For one thing, most of the midfield has been sold off. That means real opportunities for Santos to pick up minutes, as we saw last night.

Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard reported that the 19 year old’s second application had been successful after he added senior international caps to his CV.
Like many players, his future this season is up in the air, and we genuinely think so decision has yet been made about whether he stays with the first team or goes on loan. This means we have the option either way – but also means a Premier League loan could be on the cards too.
