Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu admits he’s still in touch with the Abramovich family.

Mutu played for Chelsea during Roman Abramovich’s time as owner.

He told Sport-Express: “Abramovich is an incredibly ambitious person who rejoiced at every victory. Then he was only at the beginning of his football journey. As a result, he did an incredible job and turned Chelsea into a top club.

“I have very good relations with Abramovich and with his son Nikolai.

“I don’t know the real reason for his departure. I don’t want to talk about politics. The only thing I can say is that Abramovich won everything with Chelsea! This is the main thing.”
