Chelsea commenced their pre-season tour of the United States with a friendly match against League Two club Wrexham, winning 5-0 in Mauricio Pochettino’s first game in charge as Blues head coach.

Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos, who are both highly-rated Brazilian teenagers, featured and did really well against Wrexham on their respective Chelsea debuts.

Santos celebrated his first Blues appearance this week with an Instagram post that read: “God’s plan is perfect.”

He received a heartfelt response in the comment section from a teammate and fellow countryman.

Angelo replied: “Let’s go together for more bro! Te amo (I love you).”

Santos, 19, started and played just over an hour in Chelsea’s dominant victory against Wrexham.

He slotted into a two-man midfield quite effortlessly alongside Cesare Casadei, which is why we’re now wondering if he can force his way into Pochettino’s main squad for the new campaign.

Manwhile, Angelo is an even younger prospect that has a lot to show on the ball.

The 18-year-old right-winger was a serious threat during his second-half performance against Wrexham.

Eventually, his perseverance paid off when he provided a beautiful assist with his through ball for Ben Chilwell’s goal at the end of the contest.
