Chelsea star tells Mauricio Pochettino that he wants to leave this January

Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen has told Chelsea he wants to leave and has agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky Sports reporter Patrick Berger.

Borussia Dortmund want to sign Maatsen on loan for the rest of the season but the Blues are insisting on an obligation to buy clause to be included in the transfer.

Chelsea are demanding a transfer fee of £30million similar to the offer we had accepted from Burnley back in the summer — before Maatsen opted against the move.

Maatsen’s Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2025. It was due to expire in 2024 before the Blues triggered an extension in his contract.
