Azplicueta warns Madrid; Although we may loose EPL matches, we are different with Champions league.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azplicueta have sent a, you guessed it, very strong Message to Real Madrid about the UCL clash coming upfront and he had said that although Chelsea looses the EPL matches, they bare a different breed to deal with in the Champions league.
We have been in this business before and we did very well in it so we understand the dynamics of UCL and you should not look down on us.
Perhaps to strike fear into the Real Madrid team, Azplicueta said Chelsea is different in the Champions league.
Azpilicueta believes his side to have enough quality to trouble Madrid and progress.
“It’s a unique opportunity and only eight teams are here. It’s special and difficult. This is a tie that will demand the most of us, from each one and as a team, because we play against the current champions. It’s the third year in a row that we play against them. They have a lot of experience,” he said during a press conference.
He then added: “We are better than they think.”
And finally, he finished: “All rivals must be treated with respect, with humility. We know that Real Madrid are a club with a great history in the competition and that is why we need to be at our best.”
