breaking: Pochettino picks out 3 Chelsea players for praise after 5-0 win; Here are the players
The Blues beat Wrexham 5-0 marking a good start to Mauricio Pochettino’s first game as Chelsea boss.
Pochettino fielded a very young and inexperienced team, and also a squad who have barely played together with a lot of new faces after a big summer clear-out at the club. So it was refreshing to get the convincing win regardless of the opposition.
Youngsters Cesare Casadei, Andrey Santos, and Carney Chukwuemeka started the game in midfield, and Pochettino picked all three out for some praise after the game.
As cited below by Scott Trotter of Football London, Pochettino said: “It is early but the profile is very good. Carney Chukwuemeka too. They need time, they are young, we cannot forget we are in Chelsea. They need to have time to evolve.”

One or two of these players could well end up saving some money for Chelsea this summer and stopping them buying an extra midfielder, with all three looking more than good enough.
But of course, the opposition will now get much tougher.
