BREAKING: Todd Boehly steps down from his position at Chelsea
Everything wrong is just going on this afternoon in the world of Chelsea and this is yet another shocker to add to the list.
News has been flying in surrounding club operations as well as transfer news, as the new club owners look to pull Chelsea back from a terrible run of form and a bad place in the league right now.
Todd Boehly has stepped down as interim sporting director at the club and will just now be the chairman, according to The Telegraph today.
Boehly had never planned to even do it for as long as he has done, but he is now letting others take the lead on transfers at the club and to be honest, it’s a decision that was needed.
The report says that while Boehly will still take a part in Chelsea’s spending, the American and his co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali have handed the bulk of the responsibility of Chelsea’s transfers to new technical director Christopher Vivell and Paul Winstanley, who was appointed as director of global talent and transfers.
