I am not going to lie, Ruidiger showed everything from master class to what it is we lacked as a team and he is just doing it at Madrid.
Remind me again why we let Ruidiger go in the first place?
It was this same Lampard now who was Chelsea coach then that froze Ruidiger out and forced him out of Chelsea to Madrid and now we guess he have found his better home.
Although both Madrid goals against Chelsea came from a very poor defending from the Chelsea team and we could have suffered even more goals but I guess it was just luck that made the goals stop at two and not escalate to three four or five.
Ruidiger was just on the pitch for a very little space of time but he showed everything from resilience to professionalism and this is what Chelsea defense lacked and also he bodied many shots, completed many runs and interceptions and this just brings back the old memory of Ruidiger at Chelsea.
Funny how Lampard will not consider giving Ruidiger a pay rise but send him to Madrid and bring in underrated players like Mudryk and Enzo and pay them more.
After getting in the way of a late Mason Mount shot on goal, Rudiger got to his feet and roared, celebrating with his teammates.
At full time, as he walked off, the away Chelsea fans hailed him with his song from Stamford Bridge. You can tell they’re missing him.
