Chelsea fires back, stops contracts talks with Mount; Now given the green light to leave

It was Mount who was not comfortable with his £80,000 a week deal at Chelsea and he wanted a raise so to speak and open to talks but after not getting forward, Chelsea has reacted and stopped negotiations telling him he could leave.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea have halted talks over a new contract for the 24-year-old, with the two parties ‘a long way apart’ on agreeing a new deal.

Mount has already rejected an offer, believing it to be below what other senior players and new signings at Stamford Bridge are now receiving.

The report claims that the England international wants to tripe his current £80,000 a week deal but has been offered significantly less that what news arrivals like Raheem Sterling of now getting at the West London club.

And with Chelsea spending over £300million on new recruits in January, including a British record £107million on midfielder Enzo Fernandez, Mount could be ready to move on.
