Chelsea is lucky to have Potter because he laid the foundation for Brighton’s success; Roberto De Zerbi said.
The Brighton you see today was never going to be possible if Potter was not the one who laid the foundation and again he said the Chelsea should be lucky they were able to land him as a coach and he will still perform well for Chelsea.
Roberto De Zerbi replaced Graham Potter when the Englishman moved to Chelsea, and since then De Zerbi has built on the impressive start to the season that Potter left him with. The Seagulls are among the most in form teams in the league, and are on course for a record breaking season.
De Zerbi was quick to give plenty of praise to his predecessor, but also to point out how he had changed things.
10. De Zerbi on other inspirational coaches: "Pasquale Marino when I was a player. And Pep Guardiola: the best of all, he made football evolve. He also played for Brescia" – @repubblica #Brighton #BHA #BHAFC
