Chelsea ready to ‘attack’ Caicedo transfer talks as Boehly faces Man Utd issue.

Chelsea are still pushing hard to sign some of their main summer targets with exits continuing to be sealed in the background.

“Chelsea have always appreciated Dusan Vlahovic but at the moment there is no negotiation at all between Vlahovic and Chelsea. I’m sure that before signing a new striker, if they sign a new striker because it is not guaranteed at all, but in case they do I think it will take some time.”

Caicedo transfer delay explained

Chelsea are still pushing to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton in the summer transfer window despite no significant updates in their pursuit coming to light.

Mauricio Pochettino wants the Blues to sign the midfielder and do so before he takes the squad over to the USA on a pre-season tour which kicks off on July 19.

Bringing Caicedo to the club has been the main focus for the last week, but no progress looks to have been made.However, that is not quite the case according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who has explained why this transfer is different to most.

The 23-year-old defender was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu following a meteoric rise to superstardom under Thomas Tuchel.Speaking on The Beautiful Game podcast, James’ father revealed his stance on Real Madrid’s interest and his first thoughts on a potential move to the Spanish capital.

He said: “I was just gobsmacked.”I don’t read things anymore, because yeah, until someone rings my phone, or tells the people I work with what the deal is then you take something seriously but Reece is a top player, so I’m sure most clubs would want to sign him but right now I don’t see anything changing.”
