Chelsea players love Pochettino and they have backed him taking over from Lampard; Here is what was said.

With Luis Enrique seemingly not fancied by the ownership at Stamford Bride, and Julien Nagelsmann dropping out, Pochettino has risen from relative outsider to heavy favourite to take the job.

The piece Matt Law wrote in the Telegraph today makes it very clear that everything is falling into place. The players in the squad approve, and in fact are “excited by the prospect” of the former Spurs boss taking over.

Concerns about his past at Tottenham have been allayed, and it seems that the ownership have correctly concluded that most Blues fans won’t be too worried about Pochettino’s history, as long as he comes in and does a great job with us.

There remain two other candidates on the Blues’ shortlist, Vincent Kompany and another “unnamed” option, but we would be very surprised now if it wasn’t Pochettino taking over.
