Many players could be used to swap the role as Chelsea try their best to keep Joao Felix in the team past the proposed loan period which looks like it might not be happening unless something very serious was done to make him stay.

Chelsea have raised the prospect of a swap to keep hold of Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix.

Felix joined Chelsea in January on-loan without a permanent option.

Chelsea are keen to keep hold of the striker and have discussed a player swap for the Portugal international.

The London Evening Standard says after a series of calls, Atletico are demanding €100m for Felix, though are open to a new loan for a fee of €16m.

Chelsea have raised the idea of a player exchange knowing Atletico are interested in both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marc Cucurella.

Felix scored in Chelsea’s win at Bournemouth on Saturday.
