After the game against Italy yesterday night, Declan Rice has only one thing to say to Chelsea Mason Mount and here is what he said;
The scoring as opened by Declan Rice and the second came from Harry Kane but in-between these, it was Mason Mount who was very outstanding during the match.
The game did see Reece James and Conor Gallagher appear from the bench, in a time where their country were under the cosh following a second half red card for Luke Shaw.
While Ben Chilwell presented a natural left-back option on the bench, Gareth Southgate elected to bring on Kieran Trippier to fill the role.
Nevertheless, it was a fine victory that Mount was unfortunately not able to contribute to. His injury saw him forced to pull out the England squad despite being called up.
The Chelsea man quickly took to Instagram after the game to praise Rice for his performance, with the 24-year-old replying: “Missing ya.”
Injuries have become quite the annoyance for Mount for both club and country now. He has been missing for the last four games for the Blues, which have conveniently coincided with a return to form for Graham Potter’s side.
