The season flies by pretty fast at this time of year, and it’s hard to get your head around the fact that Djordje Petrovic started his 4th game of the season at the weekend.

That means he’s already played 1/4 of the league games that Robert Sanchez in this campaign. The Spaniard is due back soon, and then Mauricio Pochettino will have some real decisions to make.

Sanchez was largely solid in his time in nets. He had a couple of shaky moments here and there, as well as some great saves, but was not disastrously bad or especially good for the most part.

Petrovic has been even more steady – he has made fewer errors and perhaps fewer special saves, but that’s to be expected given he’s hasn’t had the same time on the pitch for either. His best moment came in the EFL Cup shootout against Newcastle.

For us, it’s very hard to split them in terms of performance, and it will be fascinating to get an insight on Mauricio Pochettino’s thinking when Sanchez is fit again and the coach has a big decision to make.
