Enzo Fernandez has refused to train today in order to force his move to Chelsea; details
One of the strategies football players use to force their way out of their clubs is refusing training and this is what Enzo Fernandez has just done. He has refused to train today in order to force his move to Chelsea; details.
The chase for Enzo Fernandez is reaching fever pitch, and Duncan Castles has just reported the juicy news that the midfielder didn’t show up for training today as he attempts to push through a move.
Understand that Enzo Fernandez did not train with Benfica today in order to pressure the Portuguese club into accepting Chelsea’s €120m offer for the Argentina midfielder. https://t.co/BXVZKU5ydc

Fernandez tried a similar track at the start of the month when he came back late from his post World Cup holiday, but was persuaded to give up on his strike when Chelsea back off. Now the Blues have come back in, it seems Enzo is ready for a final push.
It may well be true – and we all know that Castles is well connected with Jorge Mendes, who knows his way around Portuguese football.
But we’re not yet hearing any confirmation of that from Portugal, and given Benfica coach Roger Schmidt took a press conference today after the training sessions, one would imagine something would have leaked our locally before now.
Let’s wait and see what Record and A Bola say this afternoon.
