Good News for Chelsea: Kante agrees to a contract to see him stay till 2026 at Chelsea

One of the major problems of Chelsea midfield is the fact that their driving force is no longer there and the marking spirit is not coming up again and this means Kante is missing.

This is every bit of good news that it can be as a result of the fact that Kante is the best or arguably one of the best Midfielders in the whole of EPL and although he is still serving his time out as a result of his injuries, it is a good thing to know he is still a Chelsea player for the long term.

Chelsea have offered N’Golo Kante a new contract.

Foot Mercato says while the terms are unknown, the length of the deal runs to 2026.

The proposal is for ‘slightly less’ than his current agreement, which expires in June.

It’s understood Chelsea’s willingness to hand their players long-term contracts is in order to skirt Financial Fair Play rules by spreading player salaries over a longer period.

Kante has asked Chelsea for a few days to consider the proposal.
