Graham Potter opens up on Raheem Sterling injury ahead of Dortmund UCL clash; What he said.
Chelsea fans had hoped that Sterling will be fit to compete against Dortmund and this would gave given Chelsea a better advantage to winning but it looks like he will not be getting that chance as at now.
In a pre match interview, Potter has opened up about this speculation of Sterling playing or not and he has addressed the whole issue.
The Blues boss said in his press conference on Tuesday: “We trained today, so the players who were out of the good had a good session. They’ll have a free day tomorrow and then we’ll be back training on Thursday.
“So they’ll be ready. Raheem, NG, and Christian Pulisic will be working their way back at Cobham. Everyone has been absolutely fine.”
Potter added: “All of the three [Wesley Fofana, Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria] are in the squad so that’s good. Like I said before the previous game they were getting closer to minutes.
“The challenge for us is to build them up and to make sure they’re right from a gametime perspective but it’s good that Wesley, Mateo and Denis are with the group.”
