This season was Tomori’s first season to prove to Chelsea what they had lost. However, the player was very unfortunate with that. The player hardly took up the opportunity to the maximum level. AC Milan met Chelsea in two consecutive Champions League matches. Chelsea was without a win in the first two group matches under new manager Graham Potter. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had made things a bit difficult for the AC Milan player. A foul on Mason Mount caused Tomori to be sent off in the reverse fixture.

Koulibaly will improve with time to fill in that role. Reports also suggest that Chelsea are pushing hard to sign RB Leipzig‘s Josko Gvardiol for the left-center back role.
