Here are 3 things that will happen to Arsenal the moment Luis Enrique is appointed Chelsea Manager.

Since Graham Potter have been sacked and it is looking more and more feasible that Luis Enrique will become the next Chelsea coach, it is safe to explain what will happen to Arsenal should he be appointed Chelsea coach in the coming weeks or months.

If Enrique is appointed Chelsea coach these will happen against Arsenal.

There will be competition for Spanish players in the market between Chelsea and Arsenal

Luis Enrique’s work with the Spanish national side would open up the likelihood of Chelsea moving for players the head coach has worked with before. It is a stamp of plenty of coaches and with the former Barca boss having worked in either La Liga or the national side since 2013, it would make sense to see him move into this area of the market.

Martin Zubimendi is the Spaniard most recently linked with a switch to Arsenal. With Chelsea looking at midfielders perhaps Enrique, who gave the Real Sociedad enforcer his La Roja debut, will compete with his new rivals for the star.

Chelsea under Boehly have had a habit anyway of doing this. Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix were players the Gunners wanted and they lost out with their transfer adversaries and paid extortionate fees to be able to do it.

So Chelsea will challenge Arsenal in many ways and take out their prospects too.

Tottenham might get Nagelsmann

Although Arsenal is not looking to land Nagelsmann but if Chelsea signs Enrique the Tottenham might get Nagelsmann.

Granted, this is far less Arsenal and more Tottenham but with them being our north London rivals there’s always an unconscious want for bad things to befall them. Julian Nagelsmann not moving to Chelsea with Enrique getting the job instead could see the German head to Spurs instead.

Enrique had effectively ruled himself out of the running for the Spurs job with comments regarding competing for the highest honours. However, with Nagelsmann then on the market, Spurs might be getting themselves a very good coach indeed for a long-term project.

Arsenal will be hoping that their city rivals are unable to land yet another high-profile appointment. That said, if Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho can’t do it, maybe no one can and there’s nothing to worry about.
