Here are the three players who were suffering before and will even suffer more due to Lampard arrival.

With Lampards arrival there has been upbeat of hope that lots of players will not have playing time and even Mount and Aubameyang will have more time to play but this is looking like it is not the case right now as many players are set to suffer even more under Lampard.

Frank Lampard knows a lot of these players – for better as well as worse. There are some obvious candidates to benefit from the change – like Mason Mount – but who could suffer?

Kai Havertz played more minutes than anyone else under Graham Potter, and while we still expect him to be used regularly, he can’t expect guaranteed starts in the same way.

Then there’s Marc Cucurella, who has really struggled, despite some bright games. Potter knew him well and was at Brighton with him, Lampard won’t have any emotional connection, and will likely be less keen on him as a left centre back than Potter.
