In a recent statement a former Chelsea player have said that Chelsea could still beat Real Madrid again citing that to win the Champions League you will need to and have to be the best hence the name the Champions league.

But this does not go without saying that Chelsea is more than average as at the time of writing this article, they barely win matches and the ones they will win they will win with a very small margin hence the reason many people think they might not be able to beat Real Madrid.

But then again we all know football for what it is so we will just have to sit back and watch what happens.

Speaking in an interview Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said;

‘‘If you want to win the Champions League, you have to beat the best.‘

‘It’s not going to be an easy game, but you have to believe. We have done it in the past and there’s no reason why we can’t do it again.’’

Los Blancos began with a 3-0 win away to Celtic before beating RB Leipzig 2-0 and Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1. Carlo Ancelotti’s men then drew 1-1 with Shakhtar before suffering a shock 3-2 defeat away to Leipzig. However, a 5-1 thrashing of Celtic in their final group-stage match ensured top spot in Group F.

Real Madrid fell 2-0 behind in the opening minutes of their last-16 clash against Liverpool, but stormed back to win the first leg 5-2 at Anfield. They then picked up a 1-0 win at home in the second leg to secure their passage into the quarterfinals.
