Nkunku issue: Pochettino gives latest injury update on five Chelsea players ahead of FA Cup clash with Preston

Mauricio Pochettino has shared the latest with the fitness of five Chelsea players ahead of his side’s FA Cup third round meeting with Preston North End on Saturday.

Ben Chilwell has been spotted in training with the rest of his teammates this week, but Poch insists the 27-year-old will not be available for selection this weekend.

“Chilwell and Carney are not available for tomorrow,” he said. “We see for the next game.

“They are doing well. They are training with the group the last few days. We are so happy.

“Lavia is recovering. We still don’t know when he will be available again, problem in his quad against Palace.

“Benoit, I think, is going to be available next week. Christoph [Nkunku] won’t start tomorrow as he suffered an issue in the week. He will be in the squad but will not start.”
