We are a leading home care provider located in Canada, currently seeking experienced Caregivers to join our team.
We are looking for Caregivers who are passionate about their work and dedicated to providing excellent service.
Job Description
As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing in-home care and support to clients, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition, and assisting with medication management.
Caregivers also provide companionship and emotional support and assist with mobility and transportation. They must be able to keep accurate records of care provided, communicate with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
What you’ll be doing in the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-home care and support to clients, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition
- Assisting with medication management
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with mobility and transportation
- Keeping accurate records of care provided
- Communicating with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Must have skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a caregiving role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
