Job Description
As a Laundry Attendant, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of skilled professionals, take on new challenges, and develop new skills.
The role requires operating laundry equipment, sorting and folding laundry items, keeping accurate records of laundry received and processed. Laundry Attendants play a vital role in ensuring that the hotel’s laundry facilities are clean, organized and running efficiently
What you’ll be doing in the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing laundry services to guests and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the laundry facilities, including but not limited to:
- Operating laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
- Sorting and folding laundry items
- Keeping accurate records of laundry received and processed
- Maintaining a clean and organized laundry room
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Communicating with guests and other hotel staff to ensure prompt and efficient laundry service
- Assisting with other duties as required
Must have skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Familiarity with laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines is a plus
