Job Description
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing security services to our clients, patrolling and monitoring premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates, responding to alarms and investigating disturbances, maintaining written logs and reports of incidents, monitoring and controlling access at building entrances and vehicle gates, and responding to emergency situations.
What you’ll be doing in the position
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing security services to our clients, including but not limited to:
- Patrolling and monitoring premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- Responding to alarms and investigating disturbances
- Maintaining written logs and reports of incidents
- Monitoring and controlling access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Responding to emergency situations
- Providing customer service and assistance to clients, visitors and staff
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Must have skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a security guard role
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
