Confirmed; Mykhailo Mudryk will start against Liverpool this afternoon; See new formation
Confirmed; The new Chelsea man Mykhailo Mudryk will start against Liverpool this afternoon; See new formation if he is engaged in the first team.
It is true that fans want to see the new signing in action as he takes on the challenge for this afternoon against Liverpool which is also one of the biggest rivals Chelsea have had in the EPL.
Although it might be unreasonable to have him play immediately but then fans want to see him.
Mykhailo Mudryk is the most exciting player we’ve signed in some time, and fans are gasping to see him in action. Stan Collymore was asked whether he would throw the kid in straight away against Liverpool this weekend, and he didn’t think twice:
“Start him against Liverpool on the weekend? – Absolutely!” Collymore said in an exclusive interview with Caughtoffside.
“He’s got to get up to speed and that is difficult when you come to the Premier League from somewhere like Ukraine, but he has pace, directness and he’s very tricky, and that is exactly what Chelsea need right now.”
It still feels like a stretch. In this case it’s not so much about getting the Ukraine star used to his teammates or the system, it’s more a simple case of fitness. He’s not played a competitive game since November, and footballers always stress how different match fitness is to base level fitness.
We’re sure we will at least see him off the bench – but a start before he’s ready could do more harm than good.
