The Blues have struggled for form this season and injuries and fitness issues for key players has not helped matters with the likes of Reece James, Ben Chilwell, N’golo Kanté, Wesley Fofana, Christian Pulisic, and Édouard Mendy all having lengthy spells on the timeline this season.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has however been boosted with the returns of Raheem Sterling, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell all returning to full fitness and action in recent games.

Chelsea are now set for a further injury boost as 22-year old centre-back Wesley Fofana returned to full contact training with the first team yesterday.

Fofana who joined Chelsea from Leicester City in a big money move worth around £75million has been out of action for some months now and his return is a welcome boost for the Blues who will be happy to benefit from the depth the young Frenchman adds to their squad ahead of their upcoming crucial games in both the premier league and champions league.

What’s your take on this latest development? Happy to receive Wesley Fofana back in the squad? Share your thoughts.
