Chelsea now open to Sterling offers; They are looking to sell the winger once he is out of Injury.

Things are not looking very good for Sterling right now and the only thing holding Chelsea back from selling him now is his injury issues. With the new signings Chelsea has made, Sterling is now looking like who they may not exactly want in their squad right now.

The 28 year old only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Manchester City, signing a five year contract with the option of a further 12 months, but has so far failed to have any significant impact in West London.

He has scored six goals and provided three assists so far this season in all competitions, but has been played in a variety of positions, and has even been deployed as a wing-back under Graham Potter.

Given though the spending spree that the club has embarked on recently with recruits including Mykhailo Mudryk and Joāo Felix, it is recognized that there is the need to slim down an already bloated squad.

One of the potential issues is Sterling’s wages. He currently earns £350,000 a week plus bonuses, and there are few clubs willing to match his salary expectations.
