After rejecting a loan move to the MLS, Auba wants to fight for his spot before leaving in the summer window.

Chelsea are likely to continue with Kai Havertz tomorrow but Aubameyang could get his chance against Southampton as Kai’s workload will surely have to be managed soon.

Southampton could be viewed as a good opportunity for Aubameyang to gain confidence with a goal or two, however The Athletic reported this morning that the Saints have agreed a deal with former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch to become their new manager, so Chelsea could face a rejuvenated side on Saturday afternoon.

David Datro Fofana could also see minutes against Southampton or even start ahead of Aubameyang and Havertz as in recent weeks he has looked like Graham Potter’s second choice striker.
