This will not be left to look like it was some kind of heroic deed as Potter had yesterday stressed on the fact that he is not making any promises to Chelsea and the fans against Dortmund and he was right because the result of the match proved he is not making any promises.

“It’s a poor goal” he agreed, and said his players were “honest” and would know that.

Some had criticised his decision to leave just Enzo Fernandez back, but in fact a closer look showed that there were actually 3 Chelsea players between Adeyemi and the goal when he picked the ball up. It was a lack of effort, not coaching.
